Joyce C. Ester

Joyce C. Ester has been working in the field of education for over 20 years. Joyce started their career as an Area Coordinator at Whittier College, before moving on to become an Assistant Dean of Students at UC Santa Barbara. In 2007, they took on the role of Assistant Vice President at California State University, Fresno, before moving back to UC Santa Barbara in 2010 as the Associate Vice President for Student Services. In 2011, they left UC Santa Barbara to become the President of Kennedy-King College, one of the City Colleges of Chicago. Joyce held this position for two years before becoming an Independent Educational Consultant in 2013. Joyce has also served on the conference committee for the Association for Student Judicial Affairs from 2005-2008.

Joyce C. Ester earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Sociology from Northern Illinois University, an MA in Education: Child and Adolescent Development from UC Santa Barbara, and a PhD in Child and Adolescent Development from UC Santa Barbara.
