Thanish Nizam

Thanish Nizam has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Thanish is currently employed as a Software Engineer at Normative.io since March 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Klarna as a Senior Engineer from June 2020 to February 2023. During their time at Klarna, they worked on various aspects of the React Native app, NodeJS/Java services, AWS resources, and CI/CD pipeline. Thanish introduced new types of automated testing and standardized data used in logs, metrics, and error tracking tools.

Before joining Klarna, Thanish worked at Creately from April 2018 to May 2020 as an Associate Software Architect. Thanish designed and implemented a CRDT-based framework for the web application and created a framework for integrating third-party tools. Thanish also held the roles of Tech Lead, Senior Software Engineer, and Software Engineer during their tenure at Creately.

Thanish has a strong entrepreneurial background as a Co-Founder of Kadira from April 2014 to December 2016. Thanish implemented various features for Kadira, developed open-source tools like Storybook, and made significant contributions to the React Native Storybook.

Thanish began their career as a Drupal Web Developer at Wakensys from September 2009 to January 2010.

Thanish Nizam pursued their education from 2010 to 2015 at Uva Wellassa University of Sri Lanka. Thanish obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Technology during their time there. Additionally, Thanish has obtained additional certifications including Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) from EC-Council and Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) from (ISC)².
