Candan Bolukbas

Candan Bolukbas is the CTO and Co-Founder of Black Kite. Prior to Black Kite, Candan was the Enterprise Security Services Manager at BGA Information Security & Consulting from September 2014 to January 2016. In this role, Candan was responsible for maintaining the security of the corporate production networks, protecting network boundaries, keeping network devices hardened against DDoS and hacking attacks, and investigating suspicious traffic on corporate networks. Candan also developed network security policy and evangelized security best practices throughout the network as well as oversaw security infrastructure sustainment, maintenance, and advanced configuration (firewalls, web gateways, mail gateways, IDS, intrusion detection systems, and web application firewalls).

In addition to their responsibilities at BGA Information Security & Consulting, Candan was also responsible for risk management assessments, as well as ensuring Compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines (e.g. PCI DSS, BDDK, ISO27001) regarding emergency and security. Candan managed the Information Security Operations Center (SOC) function, including the security monitoring of IT systems under the corporation's control and delegates; leading security solutions implementations. Threat & Vulnerability Management, including analysis, supports the security incident response team, penetration and vulnerability testing, malware and malicious code management, IP content monitoring, and data loss prevention as the head of BGA CSIRT Team.

Candan is also a trainer of Advance Network Defense (CAST-614), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), DoS Mitigation, Secure Programming (ECSP), Malware Analysis,

Candan Bolukbas has a Master of Science in Information Systems from Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi / Middle East Technical University and a BS in Computer Engineering from the same school. Candan also has certification from EC-Council in ECIH, ECSP, CHFI, CEH, AXELOS Global Best Practice in ITIL Foundation, HP Enterprise Security Services in HP MSM765 Mobility Controller, Pelco by Schneider Electric in Pelco Endura 2.0 CCTV Management, Microsoft in MCSA Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate, and Cisco in CCNP Routing and Switching.
