Amund Soland

Amund Soland is a Research Scientist and Project Manager for AI at Norsk Hydro, leading AI development in the Aluminium Metal Commercial Technology R&D organization. Responsibilities include reporting to the VP Technology and Head of R&D, as well as chairing the forum on AI in research and technology development. Previously, Amund co-founded FoodByte AS, serving as Chairman and CTO, overseeing fiscal responsibilities and technological development. Additionally, experience includes positions at Equinor as a Metocean Researcher and Apprentice, focusing on sea ice conditions in the Baltic Sea. Amund's education encompasses a Master of Science from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, specialization in artificial intelligence from KAIST, and ongoing professional education in AI and machine learning at MIT.
