Arshad Saleem

Arshad Saleem has a diverse work experience in the field of energy and technology. Arshad currently holds the position of Head of Battery Technology at Norsk Hydro since March 2021. Prior to this role, they worked at Power2U Sweden AB as the Technology & Product Development Lead (CTO) from 2017 to 2021.

Arshad's experience also includes working at KIC InnoEnergy, where they served as the Lead Technology Analyst for decentralized energy and battery storage. In this role, they were responsible for evaluating disruptive technologies, developing business models, and working with startups and innovation projects from 2015 to 2018.

Before joining KIC InnoEnergy, Arshad worked as a Development Engineer at ABB, focusing on information system modeling for electric power systems. Arshad also held positions as a Research Engineer at KTH Royal Institute of Technology and as a Research Fellow at Carnegie Mellon University, where they worked on electric power system planning and control.

Arshad pursued their academic career by obtaining a PhD from the Technical University of Denmark and also served as a Research Scholar at Carnegie Mellon University. Their expertise lies in areas such as electric power system control and automation, substation automation, and real-time simulations.

Arshad Saleem completed their education in Industrial information and control systems, power system control with a PostDoc degree from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in 2011-2012. Prior to that, they obtained a PhD in Distributed Generation, Power Systems, Control, Automation from DTU - Technical University of Denmark during the period of 2007-2010. Arshad also holds a Master of Science degree in Distributed control systems, System Engineering, Multiagent Systems from Blekinge Institute of Technology, which they completed in 2005-2007.
