Merethe Omholt's work experience includes various roles in HR and organizational development.
Merethe started their career as a Senior Consultant at Accenture in 1996 and remained with the company until 2002.
Merethe then worked as an Advisor in Human Resources at the Moderniseringsdepartementet from October 2003 to March 2005.
After that, they held several positions at Fokus Bank, including HR Consultant from March 2005 to August 2006, HR Specialist from August 2006 to August 2007, and Manager of Performance Management and Employer Branding from August 2007 to September 2008.
Merethe then worked as the Manager of Organizational Development at Aktiv Kapital from October 2008 to June 2010.
From June 2010 to October 2013, they joined DNB, where they served as a Senior Advisor in HR Leadership and Talent Development, and later as the Head of Performance and Talent Management.
Merethe joined Norsk Hydro in October 2013 and held various roles including Head of People Engagement from October 2013 to August 2014, HR Operating Model-Global Project Lead from August 2014 to December 2016, Head of Organizational Development from January 2017 to July 2018, and HR Business Partner for Primary Metal from July 2018 to January 2020.
Merethe then became the Human Resources Director at Sweco from January 2020 to February 2022. Merethe'smost recent role is as the Head of GBS HR at Norsk Hydro, starting in February 2022.
Merethe Omholt obtained a Høgskolekandidat degree in Økonomi og administrasjon from the University of Agder (UiA) in 1991. Merethe then pursued a Master's degree, Cand. polit, in Economics from the University of Oslo, completing it in 1996.
