Aina Charlotte Wennberg is a research scientist at Norsk institutt for vannforskning (NIVA) since June 2010, specializing in ecotoxicology and risk assessment, with expertise in microbiology, hygienic water quality, and biodegradation, along with serving as a GLP study director. Previously, Aina worked as a research assistant testing treatment technology for ballast water, wastewater, and drinking water, and held a researcher position at FFI focusing on PCR and DNA extraction. Aina's early experience includes a summer student position at Alcoa working on electrolytic processes for aluminum production and a role as a learning assistant at NTNU, guiding groups in teamwork and processes. Aina holds a master's degree in industrial chemistry and biotechnology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, completed between 2004 and 2009.
