Emmy Nøklebye

Research Scientist at NORSK INSTITUTT FOR VANNFORSKNING

Emmy Nøklebye is a dedicated research scientist with experience in addressing plastic pollution and waste management, currently serving as the Secretariat of the Scientists' Coalition for an Effective Plastics Treaty. Emmy Nøklebye has been with Norsk institutt for vannforskning (NIVA) since June 2020, focusing on circular plastic economy and developing related scientific publications and policy reports. Previous roles include a summer internship at NIVA, where Emmy Nøklebye assisted in a project aimed at reducing pollution in India, and outreach efforts as an ambassador for the University of Plymouth. Emmy Nøklebye also has experience in teaching and leading activities, notably delivering English lessons in Sumatra and managing youth camps in Norway. Academic achievements include a Master of Science in Sustainable Development from the University of Exeter and a Bachelor of Science in International Relations and Affairs from the University of Plymouth.
