Nick Roden is a marine biogeochemist with extensive research experience spanning over a decade. Currently employed as a Researcher at the Norsk institutt for vannforskning (NIVA) since June 2021, Nick has previously held positions as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Bergen (June 2018 - June 2021) and the University of Washington (January 2017 - June 2018). Nick also completed a PhD at the University of Tasmania (March 2011 - May 2017) and served as a Marine Carbonate Chemist with the Australian Antarctic Division (October 2014 - September 2015), where responsibilities included conducting weather observations in Antarctica. Earlier experience includes a role as a Weather Observer at the Bureau of Meteorology and as a Golf Professional at Kingston Beach Golf Club and Tasmania Golf Club. Nick holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Geological and Earth Sciences from the University of Tasmania (2004 - 2008).
