Michael Dunn

Michael Dunn is an experienced engineer specializing in coastal and marine projects, currently serving as an Applications Engineer at Nortek since May 2022. Prior to this, Michael was a Coastal Engineer at Mott MacDonald from January 2020 to April 2022, where responsibilities included engineering design for coastal and port projects, data collection planning, and numerical modeling of coastal processes. Michael's engineering background also includes a role as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at North Carolina State University, contributing to projects focused on barrier island evolution and estuarine shoreline erosion. Earlier experience includes an internship at AECOM, assisting with roadway design and hydraulic work. Michael holds a Master of Science in Ocean Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University.
