Steve Schmitt has extensive experience in the HVAC industry, with roles at various companies throughout their career. Steve started their career at Coleman Air Conditioning as a Regional Sales Manager, where they were responsible for sales to HVAC distributors in the Midwest and Pacific Northwest regions. Steve then moved on to Rheem Manufacturing as a Regional Sales Manager for Rheem Air Conditioning. After that, they joined LG Electronics as a Senior Manager, overseeing sales for LG Commercial Air Conditioning and focusing on strategic planning and sales strategy development. In 2012, they joined Nortek Global HVAC as the Manager of Sales Operations for NORDYNE Distributing, where they were responsible for start-up and management of the company's distribution outlets in multiple states. Steve later became the Director of Light Commercial Sales, overseeing sales for the Reznor brand and managing the mini split and VRF offering. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Light Commercial Sales for North America at Nortek Global HVAC.
Steve Schmitt earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Business and Marketing from Washburn University, where they studied from 1978 to 1981. In 2002, they attended Bradley University to explore the Foundations of Leadership but did not obtain a degree. In 2010, they briefly enrolled at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management to focus on Creating and Managing Strategic Alliances, also without completing a degree.
