Gerardo Velazco

Gerardo Velazco has extensive experience in program management and procurement, notably at North American Development Bank, where oversight of an $850 million grant-credit portfolio advanced critical projects in underserved communities. As a Contracts and Procurement Manager, Gerardo directed multiple cross-border contract negotiations, achieving significant procurement efficiency improvements. Prior roles included serving as an Econometrics Consultant at Inter-American Development Bank, where procurement cost efficiencies were modeled to reduce public sector spending in Costa Rica, and internships at Edison Electric Institute and the International Energy Forum, where research and data analysis were conducted. Gerardo holds a Master's Degree in Applied Economics and a Master's Degree in Public Policy from the University of Michigan.
