Marisa Hecht

Marisa Hecht is a legal professional with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as Senior Counsel at the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) since July 2013. In this role, Marisa has managed the development of cybersecurity standards for electric utilities. Prior to NERC, Marisa was an Associate Attorney at Van Ness Feldman, where counsel was provided on matters related to natural gas, electricity, and environmental regulations. Marisa also has experience as an NFL Cheerleader for the Washington Redskins from April 2010 to March 2012. Marisa holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from American University Washington College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in History from Princeton University.
