Okezie Aguwa M.D.

Okezie Aguwa, MD, is an experienced Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon currently practicing at OrthoMichigan since July 2019. Aguwa has been a Coverage Committee Member for the North American Spine Society since May 2018. Prior experience includes positions as an Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon at Orthopaedic Centers of Colorado/Denver Spine Surgeons from September 2017 to May 2019 and as a Spinal Surgery Fellow at Hospital for Special Surgery from July 2016 to July 2017. Aguwa served on the Board of Directors of the Princeton Club of Michigan from September 2014 to September 2017 and completed an Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at William Beaumont Hospital from July 2011 to June 2016. Aguwa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in the History of Science from Princeton University (2003-2007) and an MD from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine (2007-2011). Additionally, Aguwa was a board member of the Diversity Advisory Board for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons from October 2012 to March 2015.
