Teresina Palangio (Teri)

Teresina (Teri) Palangio is a Certified Public Health Inspector with extensive experience in environmental health at the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit since April 2008. Key responsibilities include overseeing food safety, safe water, health hazards, and infection control, among other public health concerns. Prior roles include working as a Veterinary Assistant at Cassells Animal Hospital and contributing to aquatic ecotoxicology research and MSDS database development at Nipissing University. Teri also has experience as a Personal Support Worker, ski instructor, pro patroller, and pharmacy assistant, alongside a background in equestrian activities. Teri holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Public Health from Ryerson University and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Biology from Nipissing University, among other qualifications in health care and applied arts.
