Director Of Research And Evaluation at North Carolina Community College System

Emily Smail began their work experience as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at Clemson University in August 2013 and worked there until May 2017. Emily then joined the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health as a Graduate Student Researcher in August 2017 and remained in that role until July 2021. Following that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Florida from September 2021 to March 2023. Currently, Emily is employed as the Director of Research and Evaluation at the North Carolina Community College System, starting in April 2023.

Emily Smail completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Genetics and Psychology at Clemson University from 2013 to 2017. Subsequently, they pursued higher education at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Psychiatric Epidemiology from 2017 to 2021.
