Lucy Russell

Lucy Russell Pittman currently serves as a Policy Researcher for the North Carolina General Assembly and holds board positions with Lillian's List and Wilson County Public Library. Pittman is also a member of the State Executive Committee for the North Carolina Democratic Party and previously worked as an elementary school teacher at Wilson County Schools and Warren County Schools, earning the title of Beginning Teacher of the Year in 2020-2021. Past experiences include managing a state senate campaign, conducting research at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and interning for Attorney General Josh Stein. Pittman earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Policy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
