Mary Elizabeth Wilson

Mary Elizabeth Wilson serves as General Counsel for the North Carolina Department of Commerce, leading the attorneys within the Department and its various divisions, and managing outside counsel. As a member of the senior staff, she provides legal support for general corporate matters, personnel, contracts, and economic development & incentive grants. She is proud to represent the State in recruiting companies to locate or expand here and negotiating the final documentation to effectuate the deals.

She holds both undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Texas at Austin. She is a member of the North Carolina State Bar and the 10th Judicial District Bar.
