Tracie B. Ford, MPA has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Starting in 1998, they served as the Executive Director of Mainstreet Martinsburg, Inc., where they led a comprehensive downtown revitalization program, earning recognition from the state main street program for their achievements. From 2002 to 2007, Tracie worked as the Director of Community Relations and Development at West Virginia University Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center Eastern Division, where they planned and implemented fundraising efforts and managed a public/media relations program. Following this role, they worked as a Public Information Specialist at UNC/Renaissance Computing Institute from 2007 to 2009, providing effective communications and spearheading various initiatives. Tracie then joined The Hunt Institute in 2010, initially as a Communications Specialist and eventually serving as the Associate Director of Communications. During their tenure, they played a key role in developing and implementing a comprehensive communications program and maintaining the organization's social media presence. Prior to their current role, Tracie was a Consultant at TAD Enterprises, Inc., and currently, they serve as the NCWorks Commission Research Analyst and Director of Skills and Education Attainment at the North Carolina Department of Commerce, where they manage initiatives and projects to strengthen the state's workforce development system.

Tracie B. Ford, MPA, studied at West Virginia University where they earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Communications. Tracie later pursued further education at the same university and obtained a Master's degree in Public Administration.
