Melissa Lovell

Melissa Lovell currently serves as the Legal Services Practice Manager/Agency Legal Specialist at the NC Department of Justice, a position held since June 1998. In this role, Melissa provides legal support primarily to the Chief Deputy Attorney General and collaborates with various senior staff members to address the specific needs of divisions within the department. Prior to this, Melissa worked as a Research Attorney at LexisNexis from April 1996 to June 1998, where responsibilities included assisting customers with legal research and guiding them in utilizing the system effectively. Melissa holds a Juris Doctorate from Capital University Law School (1995-1998) and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from Ohio University (1988-1992).
