David Roseberry

Chief Operating Officer and Chief Information and Security Officer at North Carolina Department of Revenue

David Roseberry has been working in the field of information technology for over 20 years. David began their career as a systems analyst/programmer for MCNC, a North Carolina-based nonprofit that provides advanced networking and computing resources. From there, they went on to work for Election Systems & Software, where they rose to the position of director of software development and technology. In 2000, they took a position with JDS Uniphase as manager of information systems, and then became vice president of IT and chief information security officer when the company was acquired by RTI International in 2004.

In 2013, Roseberry left RTI to become CEO of a consulting firm, and then returned to the North Carolina Department of Revenue in 2014 as chief operating officer and chief information and security officer. David has been instrumental in developing the department's information security program and has led several successful initiatives to improve the efficiency of its operations.

David Roseberry has a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. David is certified by The Open Group in TOGAF and by EC-Council in CCISO. David is also an ITIL Expert certified by Loyalist Certification Services.

They are on a team with Tenisha Jacobs - General Counsel, Angela Stephenson - Office of the Taxpayer Advocate Director, and Anthony Edwards - Assistant Secretary for Tax Administration. David Roseberry reports to Ronald G. Penny, Secretary.
