Daffney Smith-Sanders is an experienced legal assistant and advocate with a strong background in criminal justice and political science. Currently serving as a District Attorney Legal Assistant at the North Carolina Department of the Secretary of State since April 2022, Daffney has also gained valuable experience as a Human Relations Intern with the City of Winston-Salem since February 2020. In addition, Daffney holds the position of Chief of Staff at Thrive Women's Empowerment Incorporated and has contributed as the Attorney General Intern for the NC A&T Student Government Association since August 2019. Daffney completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and Political Science from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University between 2017 and 2021.
