Alyson Wilson

Interim Vice Chancellor for Research & Innovation at North Carolina State University

Alyson Wilson currently serves as the Interim Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation and Senior Associate Vice Chancellor for Research at North Carolina State University, a position held since August 2013. In addition to these roles, Alyson Wilson is a Professor and Principal Investigator at the Laboratory for Analytic Sciences, also overseeing national security and special research initiatives. Prior experience includes roles as an Adjunct Research Staff Member and Research Staff Member at the Institute for Defense Analyses, and as an Associate Professor at Iowa State University. Earlier career contributions were made at Los Alamos National Laboratory as a Scientist and as a Statistician/Senior Operations Research Systems Analyst at Cowboy Programming Resources, Inc. Alyson Wilson began a career in statistics at the National Institutes of Health. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Statistics from Duke University, an MS in Statistics from Carnegie Mellon University, and a BA in Mathematical Sciences from Rice University.
