Metrid Okumu

Metrid Okumu is currently a Business Intelligence Analyst at North Carolina's Electric Cooperatives, a position held since May 2023. Previously, Metrid served as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Merced in the summer of 2022, where exposure to machine learning included experience with various models such as decision trees and convolution neural networks. In 2021, Metrid also worked as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at Benedict College, focusing on the literature review of urban air mobility vehicles and exploring environmentally friendly manufacturing processes. Metrid is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering at Benedict College, with an expected graduation in December 2023.
