Lesa Downey

Lesa Downey has extensive experience in the banking sector, with a career spanning several roles and institutions. Currently serving as President/CEO at North Georgia National Bank since June 2018, Lesa has previously held key positions including EVP/Chief Credit Officer and Senior Vice President, Commercial Lender at the same institution. Prior experience includes Senior Vice President at First Volunteer Bank, where responsibilities encompassed centralized pre-closing management and retail underwriting. At Community & Southern Bank, Lesa occupied multiple roles, including Market Development Officer and Relationship Manager within the Business Banking Division. With a strong foundation beginning at Fidelity Federal Savings Bank and Regions Bank, Lesa advanced through various roles, demonstrating expertise in commercial lending and market leadership. Lesa holds education credentials from the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking and the University of Georgia, alongside additional banking education from Dalton College.
