Leslia Carter

Leslia Carter, RN, is administrator of North Mississippi Medical Center-Pontotoc.

Carter has responsibility for the hospital, nursing facility and the Pontotoc market. She came from NMMC-Tupelo where she served as administrator over the hospital’s post-acute and rehabilitation services from 2010-2014. She joined NMMC in 1988 as a staff nurse in the Women’s Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and later served as a staff nurse, branch manager, regional manager and director of NMMC Home Health and Hospice.

She received her associate’s degree in nursing from Itawamba Community College, a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of North Alabama in Florence and a master’s degree in health administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
