Abdulla Al-Shaer has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Abdulla started their career with Maersk Oil in 2016 as a Systems Engineer, where they managed and owned a local solution or service. Abdulla was also a member of a Global Infrastructure Service Discipline, staying informed about the Server Systems strategy, Infrastructure strategy, and overall IS strategy.
In 2017, Abdulla joined North Oil Company Qatar as a Server Engineer. Abdulla was responsible for ensuring the development of required documentation for all systems managed by him, such as Mcafee and Symantec Antivirus. Abdulla also ensured that the NOC infrastructure and services were running according to best practices, deploying updates, patches, and changes regularly in line with IS processes and security recommendations.
Later, they transitioned into the role of Business Analyst at North Oil Company Qatar. In this role, Abdullah analyzed business requirements and provided business solutions. Abdulla collaborated with developers to create custom solutions and tackle various business challenges across different departments, including finance, logistics, and HR.
Abdulla Al-Shaer has a strong background in IT infrastructure, server management, and business analysis, making him a valuable asset in the oil and gas industry.
Abdulla Al-Shaer completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Qatar University between 2011 and 2015. Abdulla is currently pursuing a Master's of Science degree in Finance & Accounting with a specialization in Accounting and Finance from the College of the North Atlantic - Qatar. This program is expected to be completed between 2023 and 2026.
