Ahmed Akak

Ahmed Akak has a diverse and extensive work experience in the oil and gas industry. Ahmed co-founded Cacti Energy in 2020 and served as Co-Founder and Engineering & Technical Advisory. In 2021, they joined North Oil Company Qatar as a Lead Subsea Pipeline Specialist. Prior to that, they worked at Eni as a Senior Subsea Pipeline Engineer from 2020 to 2021. From 2018 to 2020, they held the position of Lead/Senior Subsea Pipeline Specialist at North Oil Company Qatar. Ahmed also gained valuable experience at Eni as a Senior/Lead Subsea Pipeline Engineer from 2014 to 2018. Before that, they worked at Genesis Oil and Gas Consultants as a Subsea Pipeline Engineer from 2012 to 2014. Ahmed also worked at SNC-Lavalin as a Project/Subsea Pipeline Engineer from 2011 to 2012. Ahmed's experience also includes positions at Saipem, where they served as a Subsea Pipeline Engineer and later as a Senior/Lead Pipeline Engineer from 2010 to 2011. Prior to that, they worked at Technip as a Subsea Pipeline Engineer in 2010. Ahmed began their career as a Business Development Associate at Akida Group in 2009.

Ahmed Akak attended Newcastle University from 2005 to 2006, where they obtained a Masters degree in Pipeline Engineering. Prior to this, they studied at Northumbria University from 2001 to 2005, earning a Bachelor's degree with Honors in Mechanical Engineering.
