Malik Raji has extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, particularly in the field of pipeline integrity and structures. Malik started their career at Penspen in 2005, where they provided engineering consultancy and integrity management support to various oil and gas companies. Malik then moved on to Oceaneering in 2007, where they served as a Pipeline Engineer and was responsible for the integrity management of pipelines, risers, and infrastructures associated with BP's North Sea assets.
In 2010, Malik joined WGIM as a Lead Integrity Engineer and Project Manager, leading the BP West of Shetlands integrity management contract. Their responsibilities included developing and implementing risk-based integrity management schemes for flexible risers, flowlines, and rigid pipelines.
Malik's career progressed to ADMA-OPCO in 2012, where they served as a Technical Advisor and provided technical leadership and support for the integrity management of pressure systems, pipelines, and static equipment. Malik worked on various offshore facilities, including well head towers, oil separation platforms, gas gathering and processing platforms, water injection platforms, and flare platforms.
In 2015, Malik joined Maersk Oil as a Pipeline Integrity Engineer, where they focused on ensuring the integrity of pipelines within the company. Malik then moved on to North Oil Company Qatar in 2017, initially serving as a Senior Pipeline Integrity Engineer before being promoted to Team Lead for pipelines and structures in field operations. In this role, Malik was responsible for ensuring the integrity of floating units, pipelines, and structures.
Throughout their career, Malik Raji has consistently demonstrated expertise in integrity management, project management, and engineering support for pipeline systems.
Malik Raji obtained a Master of Science degree in Pipeline Engineering from Newcastle University, which they completed between 2004 and 2005. In addition to their degree, they also hold a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI), which they obtained in September 2017. Furthermore, Malik Raji has additional certifications as a Chartered Petroleum Engineer and a Member of the Energy Institute (MEI), although the institutions and dates of obtaining these certifications are unknown.
