Senior Planning Engineer at North Oil Company Qatar

Khalil Ahmed, PMI-SP®, has a diverse work experience spanning across multiple companies and industries. Khalil started their career at Descon Engineering in 2005 as a Planning Engineer, where they were responsible for preparing technical and commercial bids for turnarounds and projects. Khalil also assisted the Project Controls Manager in budget preparation and actively participated in 15 shutdowns and turnarounds with ADNOC Group of Companies. In 2011, Khalil joined the National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC) as a Planning Engineer, where they played a vital role in preparing project control procedures, planning packages, and progress reports. Khalil stayed with NPCC until 2012. Following that, Khalil joined Abu Dhabi Polymers Company Limited (Borouge - ADNOC Group) as a Maintenance Planning/Scheduling Engineer in 2013. In this role, they were involved in planning and scheduling maintenance activities for various plants. After two years, Khalil moved on to Worley in 2015, where they took on the position of Senior Planning Engineer. At Worley, Khalil reviewed contractual documents, prepared budgets, coordinated with project stakeholders, and developed project management dashboard reports. Finally, in 2019, Khalil joined North Oil Company Qatar as a Senior Planning Engineer, where they presently work.

Khalil Ahmed, PMI-SP®, holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, which they obtained from 2002 to 2005. In addition, they have also pursued further certification as a Project Management Institute - Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP®) from the Project Management Institute, which they obtained in January 2017.
