Emma Wellard

Emma Wellard has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in libraries and information management. Emma began their career as a SCONUL Trainee at De Montfort University and went on to work as a Librarian at Weston College. Emma then joined the University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust as an Information Manager. Emma later transitioned to the University of the West of England, where they held positions as an Information Support Librarian and a User Services Librarian. Emma then moved on to Opus Studio, where they served as General Manager. Emma returned to the University of the West of England as an Associate Lecturer and most recently, they have been working as the Head of Libraries and Community at North Somerset Council.

Emma Wellard obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from the University of Nottingham in 1994. In 1996, they earned a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from Aberystwyth University. Emma then pursued a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education at the University of the West of England from 2004 to 2005. Emma further enhanced their knowledge and skills in Management and Leadership by completing a Level 5 Diploma and a Level 6 Certificate from the Chartered Management Institute in 2013 and 2014, respectively.
