Christopher Rakers

Christopher Rakers is a skilled metallurgical engineer with a strong background in process engineering and metallurgical applications. Currently serving as a Process Metallurgist at North Star BlueScope Steel since January 2024, Christopher previously held the role of Process Engineer at Alton Steel, Inc. from September 2022 to December 2023. Prior experiences include internships at Nucor Steel Memphis and Nucor Steel Tuscaloosa, where Christopher focused on process optimization, safety improvements, and defect analysis. Christopher's early career included a Quality Engineer internship at Outokumpu, with contributions to yield improvement and material analysis, as well as a Maintenance internship at Production Castings, Inc. Christopher holds a degree in Metallurgical Engineering with a focus on Process Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology, completed in 2022.
