Richard Bean

Richard Bean has a diverse work experience in the finance and auditing sectors. Richard began their career as an Auditor at PwC, where they worked from 1998 to 2003. Richard then joined United Utilities Electricity PLC, where they served as a Senior Auditor, Internal Control & Governance Manager, and Financial Analysis Manager (secondment). In 2007, they joined Electricity North West Limited as an Internal Control Manager, and later took on roles as Treasury Manager and Head of Risk, Control & Assurance. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Commercial and Procurement at Electricity North West Limited. Throughout their career, Richard has demonstrated expertise in risk management, internal control, and financial analysis.

Richard Bean attended Manchester Grammar School from 1986 to 1993. Richard then went on to Keble College, Oxford from 1993 to 1997, where they earned a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Classics and Classical Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics. In addition to their formal education, Richard obtained certifications including an International Diploma in Risk Management (CMIRM) from The Institute of Risk Management in 2017 and a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) designation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants for England and Wales in 2001.
