Peter Wisener has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Peter started their career as a Teacher at Nagasaki Board of Education in 1996 and worked there until 1998. Following that, they joined WesternConnect as a Technical Trainer from 1998 to 2001. From 2001 to 2017, Peter worked at North West Regional College (NWRC) as a Lecturer and ILT Innovator, where they taught Further and Higher Education and focused on developing curriculum and promoting the use of Information Learning Technologies. Peter then held various leadership roles at NWRC, including Curriculum Manager - Computing from 2018 to 2021 and Deputy Head of Department for Business, Hospitality, Tourism, and Performing Arts from 2021 to 2022. Currently, they are serving as the Deputy Head of Department for Business and Professional Services at NWRC.

Peter Wisener has a foundation degree in Computing: Software Development from Ulster University. Peter also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Business Studies with Japanese and a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Education, both from Ulster University. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including A+ Service Technician from CompTIA, Computerised Accounts Level 2 from City & Guilds, ECDL Expert from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, Microsoft Certified Applications Specialist Master from Microsoft, Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer from Microsoft, and iNet+ from CompTIA.
