Carol Shatananda-Richard

Carol Shatananda-Richard is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Manager of Communications at North York Community House since July 2018. In this role, Carol develops, implements, and analyzes comprehensive communications strategies, promotes programs and events, and manages media relations. Previously, Carol worked at Sew Sisters Quilt Shop as Communications Coordinator and Manager of Marketing and Online Sales, where digital marketing initiatives significantly increased revenue and customer engagement. Other experiences include founding Happy Turtle, working as Programme Executive for the Theatre Infrastructure Cell at the India Foundation for the Arts, managing an International Arts Education Conference, teaching at the International Centre for Management and India Studies, serving as a Content Writer at CBEYOND Design Pvt. Ltd., and leading the Bandhavi program for girls at risk at Visthar. Carol holds multiple degrees including an MA in English from the University of Hyderabad and a BA in Journalism, Psychology, and English from Christ University, Bangalore.
