Debbie Fischer

Debbie Fischer is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in governance and management consulting. Currently serving as a Board Member at Ontario MD and Vice Chair of the Board at North York General Hospital, Debbie also holds positions as a member of the Healthcare Advisory Council at GS1 Canada and as an Executive Associate at KPMG Canada. Additionally, Debbie has contributed as an Executive in Residence at the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management and serves on the Governing Council of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, where leadership roles have included Chair of the Governance and Nominations Committee. Previous roles include directorships at Prodemnity Insurance Co. and OMERS, as well as board membership at Joule, a subsidiary of the Canadian Medical Association, and at the Ontario Education Collaborative Marketplace. Debbie holds a Master of Health Administration from the University of Ottawa, a Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology from McGill University, and governance credentials from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
