Daniel Tuffy

Daniel Tuffy is currently the President and CAO of Northeast Georgia Physicians Group at Northeast Georgia Health System. Previously, they served as Vice President of Operations at CaroMont Health from September 2010 to August 2017. In this role, they were responsible for leading the operational and managerial functions of the medical group, as well as establishing objectives, strategic planning, leadership, staffing, recruiting, and directing the multi-specialty medical group. Daniel also participated with executive leadership, Board Members, medical staff, and clinical areas in planning and conducting organization-wide activities to meet the organization’s mission, vision, and strategic plan.

Tuffy has extensive experience in managing large teams and medical groups. Daniel has direct reports that include 7 director level leaders, and they have successfully managed a medical group of 600,000 annual visits, 40 practice locations, and 900 FTEs. Daniel also has experience in recruitment, employment contract and compensation development and negotiation. In addition, they have developed Fair Market Valuation tools and compliance programs, as well as new compensation models to align with payor contracts.

Tuffy has also been successful in establishing new practices and land acquisitions. Daniel has established a variety of shared savings compensation distribution methodologies for multiple ACO contracts and achieved shared savings in multiple ACO contracts including MA Advantage, MSSP and the NC State Health Plan. Daniel has partnered with insurance companies including Managed Medicare populations to increase patient panels, quality and decrease costs. Lastly, they has

Daniel Tuffy earned their Bachelor of Science from the University of Central Florida in Health Services Administration. Daniel then went on to earn their Master of Business Administration from Webster University.
