Ayan Paul

Ayan Paul is an accomplished research scientist with expertise in AI and life sciences, currently serving at Northeastern University's Institute for Experiential AI since May 2022. Responsibilities include conducting research in RNA Biology, Multiomics, and mathematical epidemiology, along with developing Graph Neural Networks for pulmonary disease predisposition and applying machine learning techniques for cancer detection. Ayan Paul also holds a position as a staff member at Harvard Medical School, focusing on transcriptomics and multi-omics data analysis. Ayan Paul co-founded KarmaV, promoting fairness in cognitive automation for recruitment, and previously co-founded CoVis, overseeing the launch of an app for COVID-19 forecasting. Ayan Paul has extensive research experience from DESY in Hamburg, INFN in Rome, and the University of Notre Dame, complemented by a strong academic background with multiple degrees in physics.
