Bonnie Bystrek, SPHR, currently serves as an HBR Advisory Council Member at Harvard Business Review since 2024, contributing to a research community of over 10,000 executives. As Chief People Officer at Virtual, Inc. since 2019, Bonnie leads a team in a private equity-backed global professional services firm, focusing on organizational growth and cultural transformation. In addition, Bonnie is an Adjunct Professor in the Graduate Human Resources Management Program at Northeastern University, specializing in Strategic Workforce Planning. Previous roles include Vice President and Head of Human Resources at Saint Elizabeth's Medical Center and Global Head of Human Resources at State Street's Global Exchange. Bonnie's career in human resources spans significant leadership roles in various industries, supported by a Master of Science in Human Resources from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Science in Business: Organizational Behavior from the University of Connecticut.
