Carmen Hull is an Assistant Professor of IDDV and Architecture at Northeastern University, appointed in both Architecture, Art + Design and Computer Science since May 2022. As a Principal at XYZ DataLab, Carmen leads design research focused on information visualization to create engaging data representations. With prior experience as a PhD candidate at the iLab specializing in physical interfaces and data visualization, Carmen has taught various courses, including ARTG 5310 at Northeastern University and CPSC 583 at the University of Calgary. Carmen served as General Chair for the IEEE VIS 2020 Arts Program and has held multiple teaching roles, including Instructor positions at the University of Calgary and Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Computational Media Design and a Master of Architecture from the University of Calgary.
