Clifton Forlines is an accomplished academic and entrepreneur with extensive experience in human-computer interaction and collaborative systems. Currently, as an Associate Research Professor at Northeastern University since December 2021, Clifton continues to contribute to the field while also serving as the Founder and CTO of Tactual Labs Co. since September 2013. Previous roles include Adjunct Professor in Computer Science at the University of Toronto and VP of Software at Tactual Labs, where Clifton played a key role in developing innovative touch interaction technologies. Additionally, Clifton has held significant leadership positions at Draper Laboratory, overseeing mentoring and research initiatives, and served as a Research Scientist at MERL. Clifton holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Toronto and multiple degrees from Carnegie Mellon University, including an MS in Human-Computer Interaction and an MS in Entertainment Technology.
