Heidi Happonen

Heidi Happonen, MBA, serves as the Senior Director of Communications at Northeastern University since November 2023 and is the Founder of StoryForce, established in November 2014, which focuses on storytelling for impactful change across various sectors. Previously, Heidi held the position of Director of Marketing and Communications at Oregon State University, managing communications for the College of Agricultural Sciences from August 2018 to November 2023. Heidi's extensive experience includes roles such as Director of Integrated Communications at Nyhus Communications, Senior Vice President at The Fearey Group, and VP of Public Relations at Ocean Companies, among others. Heidi's career began with effective communication initiatives, including the founding of the English Language Events in Finland, and has included significant contributions to major clients, elevating their branding and communications strategies. Educational qualifications include an MBA from Washington State University and a BA in English and Writing from Temple University.
