Lisa Leighton

Lisa Leighton is an experienced HR professional with a robust background in employee experience, relations, and engagement across various industries. Currently serving as the People Director at Northern since January 2023, Lisa previously held the position of Group Head of Employee Experience at Marks and Spencer, where the focus was on enhancing employee relations, engagement, and inclusion. Prior roles include Trustee at Forget Me Not Children's Hospice and Head of People at Morrisons, overseeing employee relations, diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing initiatives. Lisa's contributions to Hallmark Cards as HR Director involved steering the strategic people agenda across the UK and Ireland, while earlier experiences at Asda, Lloyds Banking Group, and Vodafone Group Services Limited honed expertise in HR business partnering and operational management. Lisa holds a Master's degree in Human Resource Management from Oxford Brookes University and a Bachelor's degree from Teesside University.
