Sun Jin Kim has a diverse work experience in research and education. They started their career at the University of Utah College of Pharmacy as a Postdoctoral Researcher, where they worked on multiple projects related to detecting and quantifying therapeutic levels of anti-TNF and COVID-19 antibodies in clinical samples. Their roles included producing and purifying protein components for the assay and optimizing assay conditions. Their work aimed to develop a standardized assay for commercial use. Sun Jin Kim then moved on to UC Irvine, where they continued their research as a Postdoctoral Researcher until November 2021. Currently, they are working as a San Francisco VA Medical Center (SRA III) at NCIRE - The Northern California Institute for Research and Education since October 2022.
Sun Jin Kim completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Utah. This educational journey took place from 2012 to 2019.
