Tom Beck

Director Business Banking at Northern Credit Union

Tom Beck has extensive experience in the banking industry, starting their career in 1986 as a Commercial Account Manager at Scotiabank. Tom then held various roles at RBC, including Senior Account Manager and Account Manager. In 1996, they joined Canada Trust as a Senior Credit Analyst. From 1998 to 2004, they worked at TD in roles such as District Manager Business Banking and Area Manager Business Banking. Tom then moved to CIBC as a Senior Business Advisor from 2004 to 2006. In 2013, Tom joined Northern Credit Union as Director, Business Portfolio Management and later became the Director of Business Banking. Tom is currently working as a Mobile Mortgage Advisor at CIBC, providing guidance on financing options for homebuyers.

Tom Beck has a comprehensive education history. In 1978, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics from McMaster University. Tom continued their education by pursuing a H. B. Commerce degree from the University of Windsor from 1982 to 1984. In 1984, Tom successfully completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of Windsor. Later in 1988, they enrolled in the Canadian Securities Institute to study the Canadian Securities Course. Tom further enhanced their financial planning knowledge in 1997 by attending the Professional Financial Planning Course at the Canadian Securities Institute. Moreover, they attended the Credit Union Executive School at CUES, specializing in the School of Applied Strategic Management in 2017 and the School of Member Experience in 2018.
