Clinical Lead - Student Practice Education at Northern Health

Benita Lee has a diverse work experience in the healthcare and education fields. Benita began their career as a Registered Nurse at The Ottawa Hospital in 2008 and later worked at The Hospital for Sick Children, where they held multiple roles, including Registered Nurse, Clinical Orientation Support Nurse, and Nursing Instructor & Facilitator. Benita also worked as a Liaison Registered Nurse at Inner City Health Associates and as a Clinical Nursing Instructor at George Brown College. Benita's most recent positions include Contract Lecturer at Ryerson University and Clinical Lead for Student Practice Education at Northern Health - BC.

Benita Lee obtained a Master's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from the University of Victoria, where they studied from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they attended Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology from 2010 to 2011 and received a certification in Perioperative Nursing. Benita also holds a Bachelor's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from Queen's University, which they obtained from 2004 to 2008. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including Registered Nurse from the BC College of Nurses and Midwives in March 2022, Clinical Nurse Specialist Perioperative Certification (CPN-C) from the Canadian Nurses Association in May 2015, and Healthcare Provider / BLS CPR Certification from the Canadian Red Cross. Benita is also a Registered Nurse certified by the College of Nurses of Ontario.
