Beth Ann Derksen

Executive Lead Critical Care at Northern Health

Beth Ann Derksen has a strong background in healthcare, with over 40 years of experience. Beth Ann began their career as a Staff RN at Stuart Lake Hospital in 1976 and then moved to St John Hospital. In 1978, they became a Shift Supervisor - RN at Fort St John General Hospital. In 1986, they joined UHNBC (Northern Health) as an Emergency/ICU RN and worked there for over 20 years. Beth Ann then transitioned to Northern Health - BC, where they held the position of Director, Mental Health and Addictions - NorthWest from 2007 to 2011. From 2011 onwards, they worked as the Executive Lead, Critical Care at Northern Health - BC.

Beth Ann Derksen completed their education between 1974 and 1976 at Cariboo College, where they studied Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse. In addition to their college education, they have obtained several certifications over the years. In June 2011, they received a Meyers-Briggs Type Indicator Certificate from Psychometrics Canada. In March 2013, they became a Clear Leadership Instructor, obtaining their certification from Clear Learning Ltd. In September 2014, they attended an Organization Workshop at Power+Systems, Inc. Lastly, in September 2018, they obtained their mBIT (multiple Brain Integration Technique) Coach certification from mBraining.it.
