Michael Bernhagen

Michael Bernhagen has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Michael started their career in 1994 at Aurora Health Care, where they held various roles such as Market Manager and Physician Business and Market Development Manager. Michael was responsible for revenue growth, developing business plans, and managing relationships with physicians, businesses, and communities.

In 2002, Bernhagen joined the Medical College of Wisconsin as an Associate Director of Business Development. In this role, they directed the clinical business development effort and evaluated new services for market opportunities.

Michael took a brief sabbatical in 2003 to work as an independent insurance agent before returning to the healthcare field.

From 2004 to 2007, Bernhagen worked as a Community Education Representative at Odyssey Healthcare, where they generated referrals through relationship-based strategies.

In 2009, Bernhagen partnered with Wisconsin's Teacher of the Year to produce two documentaries for public television broadcast. The documentaries aimed to inspire dialogue about end-of-life wishes.

Michael Bernhagen obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, which they pursued from 1983 to 1987. Later on, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Communication from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, completing it from 1989 to 1991.
