Dylan Fossl

Dylan Fossl is a Data Scientist at Northern Health - BC, with experience in bioinformatics and data analysis through various roles at the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC). As a Volunteer Associate Researcher at UNBC, Dylan contributes to multiple NSERC bioinformatic projects. Teaching responsibilities include being a Teaching Assistant for Intro to Programming in Python and Java, as well as Chemistry courses, where Dylan has provided support through tutorials and lab lectures. Prior roles include a Bioinformatic Associate Researcher focusing on RNAseq data analysis, and a Volunteer Data Analyst using R and Python for biological data analysis. Dylan's educational background includes a Master's degree in Computing specializing in Machine Learning and Deep Neural Network Applications in Drug Discovery, as well as an Honors Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Computing from UNBC. Previous experience also encompasses operational roles at Rio Tinto and Shoppers Drug Mart.
