Tyler Ward

Tyler Ward is an experienced professional currently serving as Executive Officer and Manager for Mission Appropriations and Operations at the General Board of Global Ministries since May 2021. In addition to roles as Senior Accountant, Tyler holds the position of Ordained Elder at the Northern Illinois Conference of The United Methodist Church since July 2020. Previous experience includes serving as Treasurer, Executive Minister, and Director of Discipleship Ministries and Youth Ministries at North Decatur United Methodist Church from July 2015 to April 2023, as well as acting as Grants Finance Consultant for the United Methodist Committee on Relief from March 2020 to May 2021. Educational background includes a Master of Divinity from Emory University and a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from North Central College. Early roles included various student internships and positions in leadership and support at educational institutions and community organizations.
